Procida - What to sea

Top 3 most beautiful things to see in Procida

Visit to the historic center of Procida: departing from Marina della Corricella with all its colorful houses up to Terra Murata and the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo
Visit to the former Procida prison
Island boat tour

The recent proclamation of Procida as Capital of Italian Culture 2022 reminded us that we always talk too little about this pearl of the Gulf of Naples, the smallest of the islands after Ischia and Capri.

Multicolored Procida, so intimate Procida, so pure Procida. Those who know the island well know that it hides a unique magic, a mix of simplicity and pure beauty.
Visiting Procida and crossing it from side to side walking on foot you can realize the true essence of this island is being just as you see it, without frills, free and joyful.

The joy you feel in seeing the multicolored houses of Corricella that you can admire even better, in all their sparkle of pink, blue, yellow, from the Santa Maria delle Grazie sanctuary located in Terra Murata, one of the highest points on the island .

Marina della Corricella was also the set of the famous and latest film by Massimo Troisi “Il postino”

Where to swim in Procida

Chiaolella beach is the most famous place to swim in Procida. It is easy to reach with a bus that leaves from the Marina Grande, but our advice is to always reach it on foot from the Marina Grande, making many small intermediate stops. The path is not long and along the way you can meet small corners and glimpses where you can get lost and swim.
From Chiaolella you can also easily reach Vivara, an island within the island, a natural heritage, connected to Procida by a bridge.

But the thing we recommend most to do in Procida is to have no plans, to experience the island slowly, with eyes wide open to capture the beauty and ears open to hear the voice of those who have chosen to stay here.
