Three places we love in Sorrento

Sorrento - What to know

Some useful information

How to reach Sorrento: From Naples by “Circumvesuviana” train to take in Piazza Garibaldi station or Porta Nolana station.
You can choose the Campania Express line (faster, with less stops, 40 minutes) or Sorrento line (almost an hour). (Be careful to catch the right train, not Sarno but Sorrento and if possible take the “Direttissimo” which takes less time.

Especially in summer the train is very crowded and traveling with luggage is very uncomfortable, so we recommend you to have less stress if you want to reach Sorrento easily choose a Private transfer by luxury car.

Sorrento - Beaches

Sorrento - What to sea

Top 3 most beautiful things to see in Sorrento

Villa Fiorentino: with its garden of camellias. Open every day from 10 to 13 and from 16 to 20. Ticket: 5 euros
San Francesco Cloister: a peaceful oasi. Open every day from 7 am to 7 pm. It is free.

We like to travel and there is no doubt about this but given the circumstances we also had to learn to travel locally. Fortunately we live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and with one of the most photographed views in the world.

So we thought that until we can move outside we would like to tell something beautiful about our city, waiting for you to come back too.

The first is the Cloister of San Francesco, which everyone knows as a wedding location in Sorrento but which for us is a small refuge of beauty and peace. Its colonnade, the ivy, the silence make it the place we usually go when we want to be alone to think or to find new energy.

The second is Sedil Dominova, or also known as the Società Operaia. The still visible part of the large fresco reminds us how important Sorrento was historically, since its origin is due to ancient patrician families of the city.

The last point, perhaps one of the most photographed, is in Piazza Tasso, the panoramic view of the sea and the road leading to Marina Piccola, under the famous flags, a reference point for every tour.
Here we come to look at the sea and Vesuvius, when we are on the street in the center of Sorrento, we come to take the breeze and dream of new destinations.
